For
the past 5 years, I’ve known a world I can honestly call home. A world where
I am not afraid to be myself and express myself to people,
because everyone there is just like me. I’ve found out who I am here, and
have made some of the best friends and memories I’ll ever have.
Every year it never ceases to amaze me how, throughout three
spectacular weeks, everyone manages to accomplish different projects to show
at the end of each session. Whether it is to make a work of art, music, plays,
musicals, etc; every year I am left in awe on how well we all get together and
work as one all summer long to create these masterpieces.
The tears of both my friends and myself are enough to fill the lake
with memories so dear, that whenever someone who’s shed them, looks upon
that lake will find, not only their reflection, but their inner souls as well.
Which is what makes LLC a
Paradise
and Heaven to anyone who has ever
known its magic and enchantment…Christina Carrion.
I
decided to open up to them and give them the best piece of advice I could give
them: Come here
as long as you can.
This is where I discovered who I am, what I love and how I want to be
remembered. I grew up here and after 5 years, I can honestly say that I am
proud and confident in who I’ve become and I know that whatever happens in
the future, I’ll look back on all the memories, all the everything’s gonna

Having a place that allows you to find what you love, why you love it, who you
love, and most importantly find yourself is something amazing, and that’s
what LLC has been for me. I am who I am because of my summer here….Haley

Long
Lake
introduced me to some of the best
people in the world...people who care about everyone and everything. From when
I first arrived at LLC in 1999, a confused little 13-yr-old kid…that summer
changed me in so many ways, I can’t even explain it in words.
It shaped me into the person I am today; it showed me what is important
in life: fun. Without fun, I would
not be who I am today. When you
are feeling down, just close your eyes and remember LLC.
It will only bring your spirits to an all-new high, and it will remind
you of what is important in life. I love you LLC; I will never ,ever,
forget…

I remember the first day of camp in
1998, wearing some fake Oakley’s walking out of my parent’s car, trying to
act cool in front of the people staring at me. I grabbed a nearby
Adirondack
chair and sat down…I told myself,
“This place is gonna suck.” I

I’ve spent two wonderful summers

To those of us who have spent a significant part of our lives here, you know
what the spirit is like and that it cannot be put into words, but it will
always be there, in our hearts and minds. I guess the only way to end is with
a heartfelt “Thank You” to everyone who has made these past three summers
