Our theater programs are
truly the best you can find, surrounded by a nurturing camp with
professional directors and friendly staff. We accept campers without auditioning,
complimenting our unique non competitive atmosphere. In this spirit Long Lake campers
immerse themselves and flourish in theater. Both beginners and accomplished actors stand in
the spotlight at Long Lake with challenging roles chosen specifically for you. Our actors enjoy
our friendly atmosphere and the fast paced rehearsal schedule leading up to our spectacular,
professional looking and sounding productions. With over 30 well known scripted shows per
summer the perfect role awaits you at Long Lake Camp for
the Arts.
We produce over 30 acclaimed musicals, comedies and dramatic shows every summer, so
every camper who wants to join a cast is in!

The secret to our success is how comfortable our actors feel on stage because of our regular
live stage performances. At long lake you put into practice what you learn both during
rehearsals and our acting master classes and improv sessions. Our campers gain in personal
confidence and a very positive feeling of self worth and
accomplishment being part of a cast of new friends.
Every production has professional technical, creative support from the following staff:

- Lighting designer and lighting operators
- Sound engineer
- Scenic designer, painters and construction crew

- Backstage wranglers and wireless mike fitters

- Every musical also has the following creative staff:
- Music director with pit orchestra
- Choreographer
- Dance captain
- Vocal coaches
Our facilities are designed to enhance our actors and our staff are professional yet warm and
friendly. Each summer we have 10 show directors and music directors, from major cities like
New York and London. All with tremendous theatrical experience. Our directors understand
you want to look and sound your best and that being a member of a cast is about more than just
the finished show, its about the journey, friendships and the confidence you gain.

- Rylee Center for Musicals, Dance and Concerts. Broadway sized stage with a 700 seat house,
orchestra pit, dressing rooms and 3 rehearsal spaces plus the main
stage. Professional production values for every show.
- Performing Arts Center (P.A.C) for straight Plays and Comedies.
- Great venue for more intimate shows and comedies with its own scene shop and dressing
rooms.
- Rays Playhouse a relaxed Adirondack theater for up close drama. A Charming theater space
with racked seating offering an intense theatrical experience.
